Donald McKinnon
Enjoying my younger years in Southern California, I attended School in Santa Monica and moved north to the bay area to work as a Regional Manager for a large insurance company for 21 years. My job relocated me to Washington State in the 90’s where I decided to change careers to sell Real Estate, winning first place team award in 2005 and sold property there for ten years. I moved to the Big Island in late 2008 and became licensed in the state of Hawaii. Living and working in Hilo is a dream come true.
I pride myself in being a professional and following the code of ethics to provide the best service I can for my clients. I am experienced and hard working. I love what I do, and hopefully I can pass this passion on to you.

Laurie Higashi, RS
I was born and raised in Hilo and graduated from Hilo High School. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree (magna cum laude) in Journalism and Mass Communication from Drake University, then moved to San Francisco, where I enjoyed successful careers in the music business and massage therapy. After 25 years in the Bay Area, I returned to Hilo in 2017 to launch my new career in real estate.
I am a member of the Japanese Community Association of Hawaii, the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy travel, cooking (and eating), photography, exercise and baseball. I‘ve always been passionate about helping people, and I’m excited to assist fellow Big Islanders in turning their home ownership dreams into reality.
Ketura Waiki, RS
Originally from O‘ahu, Ketura moved to the Big Island to play volleyball as a Scholar-Athlete for UH Hilo. After college, yet still unsure of her career path, she took an interest in real estate and inevitably, became a part of the industry that she had been exposed to early on, by her family. Ketura’s father was a prominent, condominium developer and her older sister, formerly a mortgage broker, now owns a boutique real estate firm. Ketura began her real estate career in 1999 when she landed a hybrid role as a Realtor Salesperson/Office Manager with a Hilo-based national franchise. In 2004, she accepted a position as an Account Manager with a local title and escrow company, and in 2010 was promoted to Branch Manager. Ketura brings her broad real estate experience to Property Professionals Hawaii with enthusiasm and understanding. In her free time, Ketura enjoys going to the beach, camping, crafting, and watching her children compete in baseball, basketball, and gymnastics.
Jeanmarie Theine, RS
Born and raised in the Midwest (Wisconsin & Illinois), I have spent my adult years in Texas (Houston & Austin), Colorado (Denver), and finally found my way to Hawaii (Hilo) in 2007. As my wanderings might indicate, I enjoy exploring different cultures and locales.
I studied at University of Houston graduating with a degree in Anthropology, later adding a certification in Secondary Education. My teaching career spanned 15 years teaching in Middle/High/Alternative Schools, Austin Community College and even at a County Correctional Facility. In addition to working in the education field, I spent 8 years working in the social work field with individuals with disabilities. I have taken all the lessons learned from my diverse background, and in 2013 transitioned to my current profession as a REALTOR.
Real Estate was always an interest of mine, as I enjoyed buying and fixing up properties. Now I am thrilled to assist others as they search for that perfect property whether it be an investment or that special place to call home. I always strive to provide the best service to clients with honesty, integrity, and competence.
Ashli Quevedo, RS
Made in Hawaii, I‘m a Big Island native and a Hilo High Alumni. I’m and Arts and Science major.
Raised on the Big Island I have learned the meaning of Aloha. This is why I take great pride in maintaining the highest degree of integrity, knowing about Hawaii real estate and sharing my love and knowledge of this island with my clients.
Brendan Freitas, RS
I have been interested in real estate since my younger days on Maui. I became President of a 351 unit Condo there for 9 years. I remodeled homes and condos on Maui , and had a few rentals as well. I also managed a small commercial complex. I moved here in 2003, and started flipping homes and condos, along with my businesses. I also became President of a 150 unit condo here for 5 years.
In 2019, I obtained my real estate license, and decided to devote all my energies to it. My experience in Condo Management and home and commercial maintenance has served me well, as my experience has proven valuable in managing my client’s properties. I take great pride in taking a worn property and restoring it to its glory, and profitability.
